My boss thought I would be more productive if I was at my desk more, so he ordered me a new computer.

Wow!!!

I have to thank the GOC and ALMTTR for helping me to get my blog out there for people to read. My hits are getting more and more every day, just like the GOC. I really don't post much I don't think. I like to post stuff to entertain you all. I try not to post anything that the two mentioned before post. That is no small task, trust me. I would really like to know if I doing good at this. I am not getting many comments, only from Josh Fahrni. He doesn't leave an email address, so I have no way of contacting him. Hell, for all I know, he could be the one that is constantly hitting this site. The only way that I will really know, is when I start getting more comments. I have even posted pictures trying to get comments. Why else would post and picture of a bunch of guys with big dicks in wheel barrels. I thought that was freakin' hillarious. I try to post stuff that will just make you fall out of your chair. I also try to talk serious when I see it necessary. I guess I will keep doing what I am doing. C-ya.

He might be No 6, but put him at the top of the list

Akbar Sentenced to Death for Grenade Attack

"I want to apologize for the attack that occurred. I felt that my life was in jeopardy, and I had no other options. I also want to ask you for forgiveness," Akbar told the jury before it deliberated in the sentencing phase.

The 15-person military jury, which last week took just two and a half hours to convict Akbar of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder, deliberated for about seven hours in the sentencing phase.

"He is a hate-filled, ideologically driven murderer," chief prosecutor Lt. Col. Michael Mulligan said. He added that Akbar wrote in his diary in 1997, "My life will not be complete unless America is destroyed."

If Akbar is executed, it would be by lethal injection. Why not just put him in a small room and throw a grenade in it while he is sleeping? This man committed the worst offense of any soldier, murder. They should not wait to execute him. The defense that he was mentally ill is a farse, anything to save a doomed man. It is not going to happen here. They prooved in court that it was premeditated.

Defense attorney Maj. David Coombs (after drinking the liberal Kool-aid) told jurors that a sentence of life without parole would allow Akbar to be treated for mental illness and possibly rehabilitated.

If given a death sentence, Hasan Akbar would join five others on the military's death row at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. The last U.S. military execution was in 1961.

It has been almost 45 years, what are we waiting for?

God Bless Our Troops

Yes, I am still alive

So, this is what the first shift life is all about. I have to say it is nice, but adjusting to it from working six plus years on third shift sucks. My body doesn't know when to sleep. I think this transition is going to take a couple more weeks. I think that is why I haven't been up to blogging. I just haven't been in the mood. I know I have a small audiance and I don't want to keep you all hanging. I am going to get some new stuff posted soon. Lately the GOC has been killing me with his shit. The three dollar bill is just killing people at work. Speaking of work. I like it. It is not as pressed as it was on thirds. They could be being nice to me since I am new. But, I really see anyone doing much than what is given to them. I am wondering if there is a way to get some OT. Damn, I haven't seen that in a long time. It would really help with bills. I am getting along with just about everyone. Di Di wont shut up. All she does is talk talk talk. I just put on my headphones and crank it up. She was off today, so silence was golden. One more update. The foot is not going well. I am going to run up to the hospital tomorrow and get some x-rays to see what the hell is going on. It doesnt feel as though it is getting better. I will keep you all posted. C-ya!

Now that is beautiful view

JR gets a Top 5!!!

After 3 hours and 9 minutes at Phoenix International Speedway, host of the Subway 500 Nascar Nextel Cup Series Race, Dale Earnhardt Jr, driver of the DEI Budweiser No 8 Cheverolet, finish 4th. His teammate, Michael Waltrip, driver of the DEI NAPA Autoparts No 15 Cheverolet, finish 2nd. He smacked the wall twice and got into the loose stuff once fighting to get a win.

This is awesome. DEI brings home two Top 5s after last weeks two Top 10s. This could be the big turn around that these racing teams needed. With Jimmy "Jackass" Johnson finishing 15th, it shook up the standings a bit. We now have 18 drivers in contention for the Chase for the Cup. Mikey became a contender at 18th. He was the biggest mover this week of six spots to be 394 points behind. Dale Jr moved up three spots to 12th, to be 313 points back. Congrats to both. Have a good night of celebrating! Keep diggin', the top 10 is in sight.

Speaking of the Top 10, Tony Stewart fell out last week and then this week lost three more spots. He is now sitting 14th at 347 back. I don't see this staying for very long. Tony should be boiling. I would like to really know what happened. Did Tony check up or did Jimmy "Jackass" drive into him. I don't see the point of driving into a turn when you are behind someone unless you have a run and can move around them. Jimmy went straight into the back bumber. Come on, what kind of sh*t is that? Every time he does something like that, the first words you hear out of his mouth is "Now you know I would never intensionally do that." You can only hear it so many times until you start to not believe it.

Casey Mears #41, was the biggest dropper of the week of nine spots to 26th, -469. He also fell out of contention, as he was one the 17 from last week.

Rusty Wallace #2, was the biggest dropper of the week that is still in contention. He dropped seven spots as to being tied up in the Tony wreck. He is 10th at 300 points back.

This is a must see...

I like going to www.ifilm.com for some funny and exciting videos. They put up the Super Bowl commercials, even the banned ones. But now there is a video that all guys must see, Keyra II: Electric Bootyloo. The video is five minutes long, but five minutes well spent.

Just remember, you heard it here first.

I was going to post the video on my site, but couldn't find a good program to do that. If any of you have any ideas please pass it on. Thanks and you are welcome.

They haven't executed this guy yet?

101st Airborne soldier accused in fatal 2003 grenade assault
Sgt. Hasan Akbar is led from the Staff Judge Advocate Building on Monday during his court-martial at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Witness: Soldier laughed at movie attack on U.S. forces

It also goes on to say that he wrote in his diary that he might have to kill his "battle buddies" a week before the attack. If this is true, then it is premeditated. Just get on with it already.

Pope Benedict XVI

This has been God's decision, so I shouldn't question it. Although, I have questioned a lot of things Catholics have done over the years. It has been done in the past, but selecting a man that is at the age of 78?

— He was most often mentioned as a "transitional" pope who could have a short reign.

Pope John Paul II died at 84. Ratzinger probably already has one foot in the grave. I am going out on a limb and predict that we will be going through this procedure in less that four years. I am going against the full six.

— On April 8 (Good Friday), Ratzinger wrote a series of reflections at John Paul II's request. He denounced what he called "filth" in the Church, including in the priesthood.

Lets hope and pray, in the short time he will be pope, that he will clean up the Catholic church. We need to start holding these priest accountable, not "a slap on the wrist, don't do that again, you are now in charge of another church" routine. We can't allow them to go some where else and ravage another church and children. May be with that other foot, he can kick out priest that give the church and all religion a bad name.

— Secularism: In 2004 he said "We are in a very grave moment; radical secularism may destroy humanism."

"I would have preferred somebody who was more open-minded," Belzelle, a Belgian Catholic, told FOXNews.com.

Sorry lady, he has already came out against you.

— In that homily, he listed other threats to the church: ideologies such as Marxism, liberalism, atheism and agnosticism, collectivism, and what he called "radical individualism" and "vague religious mysticism."

Monday Night Football on ESPN?

Am I reading this right? I never thought this would happen. After 35 years, someone at Disney got out a staple puller and yanked Monday Night Football out of ABC. I can hear the CEO of ABC, "WHAT THE F**K? How do I fill that time slot?" Do you think the whole TO fiasco last season has anything to do with this? I think we all have to say, Thank You, Janet. It has been one thing after another since then. May be that is what the NFL needed to stir things up. Or may be it is just money.

NBC will get the Sunday night package for $600 million over six years, sources told The Associated Press. The network will also get the Super Bowl in 2009 and 2012 as part of the deal, a source told the AP.(ESPN)

Under its current eight-year, $4.4 billion contract, ABC has paid an average of $550 million per year to broadcast “Monday Night Football” —(MSNBC)

NBC will devote its entire Sunday night prime-time lineup to the NFL. The Sunday night games will start at 8:15 p.m. ET and include flexible scheduling for the final seven weeks of the season, details of which will be developed by the league.(ESPN)

I hope this adds some kick. I hate going to bed early on a boring game, just to wake and find it was a shoot out. So the change of start times are a big plus. My kids can also see some of the game.

Monday night games will shift to the earlier start time of 8:40 p.m. eastern on ESPN. Here is a link to MSNBC's article.

POPE SMOKE CAM

I am not Catholic, but the process of selecting a new Pope has been very interesting. I found a link that has a camera of the smoke stack. Black is a failed vote. White, we have a new pope. Here is the link. You can hear the street noise and see birds fly by.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/mmedia/vaticancam.htm

Update: It looks as if after sundown, the camera is changed to view the front of the vatican. I am sure when the sun comes back up in the morning (approx. 3:00am eastern), the smoke stack will be back in the frame. There has been one visualization of black smoke. I am sure the world is watching.

Need a caption. Any suggestions?

Friday evening I was walking out of my bathroom while getting ready for work, then BAM. My left foot hit the railing. The little toe was bent about 90 degrees to the left. I know I heard a crack. Damn, it hurt. I fell straight to the floor in pain. I went on to work and hobbled around. I had to keep explaining to everyone what I did and that drove me nuts. May be I should have sent out an office memo to stop the questioning. My Dad stopped by Saturday to catch up on things. We have had a trouble past over the years. We are starting to get over our latest argument. Mrs. B woke me up to let me know he was here. After waking up, I was walking through the bedroom and then BAM. F&#KS*$TB&#*H!!! The same toe hit a box-fan. I really don't know what my problem is with walking lately. I don't drink, so I know that is not it. I am pondering if I should go to the hospital and get x-rays. On my foot, not my head. I know there are some smartasses out there. I have always been told that they can't do anything for broken toes. It would be nice to know what damage I have done to it. This hobbling around is not fun. It takes me forever to do anything or get anywhere. I wonder what I should do?

Lets Go JR!!!

Just a ramble...

I thought for once that I will attempt a ramble. I haven't been in the mood to really delve into any certain story and write about it. Ever since I got the news of going to first shift, I have been in a funk. I am really going to miss the people I work with. I have known a lot of them for years. When you work with some people for a long time, they become like family. There are some people on first that I used to work with. So, it will be like catching up with family. I think I will be alright with the switch over. The only thing I am worried about is people that have been the original first shift. Some of them either drive me nuts or I just want to bitch slap. I just know the main reason for doing this is for my kids and wife. So there will be no slapping. I want to spend more time with them. The kids are getting older, 10, 7, and 5. I want to spend as much time as I can with them while they are young. Don't get me wrong. I spend a lot of time with them. I have some really healthy, smart, disciplined, kids with good morals and strong beliefs. I think they are ready for their next stages in life. I want to be there to develop them into adults. My oldest is still a child. But every once in a while, he will blow me away on how well he can make a decision as though he was much older. He is in the fourth grade, the first year for real grades (A-D, F), he has received straight As the first three quarters. I am hoping he will keep it up till the end of the year. That is something I don't think I ever did. I was an A-B student in school. I think the development into adulthood is going to be very crucial and I want to be there for it. And the other side of the reason, Mrs. B. Working third shift, we don't see each other that much. We make the best of the time that we do have. I think our marriage will now go in a different and actually better direction. Well, I am about spent for the time being. I have some other blogs to read, fantasy baseball to update, and sleep to get to.

New Additions

I have added two new additions to the site. I hope you enjoy them. They are news link articles to thatracing.com and cnsnews.com. Happy reading!!!

Management Training

An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand pulling a male buffalo with the other and says to the waiter, "Want coffee."

The waiter says, "Sure chief, coming right up!"

He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee. After drinking the coffee down in one gulp, the Indian turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, then just walks out.

The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand pulling another male buffalo with the other. He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter,"Want coffee."

The waiter says, "Whoa, Tonto! We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What the heck was that all about, anyway?"

The Indian smiles and proudly says, "Training for upper management position. Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day."

(not for cat lovers)

http://www.crapville.com/games/kitten_cannon.asp

Found a new search engine. If you don't believe me, just try to search for something with it.

www.gizoogle.com

I think I am going to start using this one at work.

Well, Which One?

I am not sure what is up. Do I have readers or not? I am not sure. By looking at the few comments that I have, I am starting to think that I don't. I am not sure what people are looking for. I try to talk some sports, news, and comedy. I know I don't get into the news too much. At least, not right now. Most of the news items out there are being covered by other bloggers really well. Most of the time I defer to them. Heck, I think that is all they do is write articles or blog. I am still new to this and really haven't got on any rants. Maybe I should try posting every time I get a chance to build an audience. I am still on that third shift. I will be able to post more here in about two weeks. Well, here are a couple of posts for your amusement.

JR is hanging in there

I don't know how many more weeks of this JR can take. If this keeps up, he is not going to be in the Chase for the Cup in 20 races from now. He is 328 points behind Jimmy Jackass, sitting in 16th in the points.

For those that are not Nascar fans. The Chase for the Cup begins after 26 races of a 36 race season. Any driver in the top ten or within 400 points of the leader is eligible for the chase. The drivers eligible have their points readjusted to separate them from the rest of the field. Their point are also set in incraments of five. The chase consists of the last ten races. The one with the most points is season champ. At 328, JR is just inside the 400 point window.

Next week is Texas Motor Speedway. This track is a 1.5 mile track, back to the speed. Hopefully this is where JR gets a win. I think there might be a bounty on Jimmy Jackass's head. He is now first in the point by 160 points. A bad week could really help a lot other drivers as well as JR.

This should generate some comments!!!

Who approved the Nascar schedule?

What were they thinking of putting Bristol and Martinsville back to back? Don't they know that this is going to be retaliation weekend? The tiffs from last week are going to boil over to this week. Or is that the point? With these retaliations and aggressive driving, Nascar can levy more fines. This helps the governing body grow. Charging us fans over a hundred bucks a seat for a cup event isn't enough. They need to dip into the drivers pockets. Probably doing this keeps the price of tickets down. Who knows? I just know there is going to be some beating and bagging this week. That is why I love short track racing. It brings out more of the skill of driving and less of the speed of the car. It should make this weekend very interesting, but That's Racing.

I have JR to finish 5th. I am looking for him to get another top five. Just don't know if he is going to make it through the field safely this week. Keep my fingers crossed.

I'm Back

Hey all. I know it has been a while since I posted. Recouping from camping out in the rain at Bristol has really taken some time. I have some new stuff for ya all. I hope some of these next posts generate some comments. I really don't know what kind of audience I have right now. I thank GOC for the audience that I do have. I really do enjoy reading his blog. He can always brighten up your day with a laugh. I hope I can do that for ya. Here comes several posts today to make up for the ones I haven't made.

Still recouping...

This past weekend really took it out of me. In three days, I got about 12-14 hours of sleep. I actually got about nine hours today. It is taking everything I got to go to work. Only tonight and tomorrow left. I am so ready for the weekend. I just want to sit in front of the tube and watch some racing.

Call it a fringe benefit.

Bristol Motor Speedway

The Adventure I Will Never Forget

Sorry for such a late post about my trip. I was too tired Monday to do anything and Tuesday, when I went to blogger.com, it was down. So, here it is, the shorten version. I am going to leave the trip part out of it. I can't relive that part of the weekend again. I have been thinking of what I have been wanting to write about and trying to remember everything about this weekend. But getting lost in Tennessee, having to navigate, and dealing with 24 hours plus of non stop rain was not what I signed up for. I have said that I would go through just about anything to get to see a race at BMS (Bristol Motor Speedway). Well, that just about happened. All in all, it was fun. We made the best of it and I think I made some good friends. It is a weekend that we will never forget.

BMS was all I thought it was and then some. When I first walked out of our camp ground, I could see BMS. Our camp ground was about a mile away and BMS took up most of the horizon. I couldn't believe my eyes. It is enormous. When I walked into it, my jaw dropped in amazement. Not only do they fit 43 cars on a half mile track. They stuff 155,000 people in that speedway. They are presently building another 30,000 seats. We sat in the fifth row, half way between the start finish and turn one. Ahhhhhhhhh, the smell of exhaust fumes.

The race was awesome. There were a lot of wrecks. We were so close that you could see into the cars. It was so nice to show Jeff Gordon some sign language. I think Rusty Wallace had the car to beat. He was weaving through the traffic with ease. He eventually got tied up in a wreck and fell behind. Kevin Harvick's car came to him late and was able to walk away with a win. He went back Monday to get the Busch Series win too. JR came away with a top five finish, finishing 4th. Jimmy Jackass got a top ten so JR didn't gain much in points. JR is still 310 points back, but gained 9 positions, he is up to 17th. The biggest surprise was Kyle Petty getting a top ten. Who would have thunk it?

Hopefully next week at Martinsville, JR can actually gain some points.

I met Daniel Boone!!!

I have so much to write about Bristol. We had an adventure. I will post it tomorrow. I still have more to write. I want to get it all written down. Trust me, it will be worth it. I love to suffer for your laughter.

Any way, Danial Boone showed up for the race. I had to get his picture.

The girl on the right was a dumbass. By the end of the night, her pants were soaking wet from where she fell. I know she fell because she had a big brown dot of mud on the back of her head. It was hilarious. Sorry I couldn't get a picture. The camera wasn't availbable.

BRISTOL OR BUST!!!

Time to head for Bristol, TN. I don't know what is going to cost more, the tickets or the gas?

I wont be able to post until I get back Monday. Tell you all about the trip when I get back.
